The Importance of Physical Education in High School

In today ' s world of instant gratification and sophisticated technology, teenagers in high school spend more time texting messages on cellular phones than they do utterly speaking to their friends and acquaintances at school. The drastically - changing technologies available to today ' s springtide have started to produce a generation of unfit, cerebrally - oriented youths who face the danger of developing arthritis in their notably - moving thumbs.

Upright as cellular phone technology has robbed immaturity of their ability to communicate face to face with their peers; since the magnificent world of the Internet has robbed the youth of the need to actively go about conducting research for school assignments and projects. A legwork to the community library is no longer necessary, as tender age can complete their research from the comfort of their own homes.

Modern children and tender age no longer face the prospect of merely becoming " couch - potatoes " with no imagination, when well-qualified are and so many more threats today than excessive television viewing to stunt their development. Where once a school classroom could have led to active interaction between the teacher and student; many classrooms now make use of computer assisted learning which robs education of its humanity.

Today, more than ever before, the importance of Physical Education for high school students is critical. Students need to be exposed to the benefits of physical exercise. Teachers must be tasked with the responsibility of trying to encourage teenagers to engage in fitness programs. If, while participating in Physical Education lessons, talent is discovered for a particular sports ' code, the student can only benefit.

Students need a break from their studies during the school day. Physical exercise is known to replenish the supply of oxygen to the brain, thus facilitating more effective studying and academic performance thereafter. If high school students were left to their own devices, they might well choose to sit in classrooms lesson after lesson, without any physical outlet even being considered.

Teachers have the awesome responsibility of educating the " whole child ". Education cannot be merely an academic exercise. Teachers need to address the emotional, psychological, academic and physical needs of each student in their classes. A sedentary teacher tell or computer aided school system cannot meet the needs of teenagers who are at such a vital developmental stage on their path to maturity.

A compulsory Physical Education lesson once or twice a week may well encourage and assist students to pursue a life of physical well - being throughout their adult lives. It is vital that students understand how their bodies function and Physical Education classes provide an opportunity for teachers to explain to children how to monitor heart rates and maximize the positive effects and benefits of aerobic and non - aerobic forms of exercise.

Teachers should try to make sure that students understand the dangers of a sedentary lifestyle and poor eating habits. Lifestyle diseases such as Type 2 Diabetes are on the increase among the youth. Girls could be encouraged to combat obesity through a sensible eating plan and exercise regimen while boys could be encouraged to work on stamina and muscle building. A clever teacher can use Physical Education as a springboard or challenge to encourage students to strive for longevity and healthy lifestyles.

Physical Education teachers must not be put off by the resistance they will encounter from many students at the start of the academic year. Teachers must persevere and constantly change activities to maintain the students ' interest and maximize participation. A swimming class on a very hot day could entice even the laziest of students into the water, for example.

The importance of Physical education in today ' s fast - moving world where technology rules, cannot be over - emphasized. Students need to be separated from their i - pods, cell phones and laptops and work up a healthy real - life sweat, before it is too late. Students must be saved from the prospect of becoming just another statistic in the ongoing battle against lifestyle diseases modern man faces.

Physical Education will not harm children, it may in fact save their lives.

The Importance Of Playing Outside

With Spring halfway upon us and the weather warming up, it is a great time to slap and get children playing outdoors once besides. During the Winter months, children have become acclimatised to sitting in front of a computer or television reserve playing record games for hours on end and this type of play is not providing the development children need.

Through the introduction of the television, computers and the Internet, games consoles, and portable cd games, children are learning from a bona fide early age that sitting in a chair staring at a cloak is a great way to play. However there is a huge difference between speech to a comrade company mate through the Internet and a microphone and actual face - to - face contact.

It is vital that during these warm Summer months, children make the most of being able to go outside. This allows them to properly stretch out their muscles, breathe in the fresh air and get some vitamin D from the sunshine. Vitamin D encourages the absorption of calcium in the body which, in young children is essential for the development of strong bones and teeth. During the Winter, most children will not be exposed to enough vitamin D so it is vital that they get as much as they can during the warmer months to counteract this deficit.

There are also several social benefits of children playing outside. Outside games are often much louder and more energetic, allowing children to gain important physical skills and because there is usually less direction from adults, children learn skills such as negotiation and compromise. For example, getting children to build a sandcastle allows them to learn how to co - operate and work together to achieve something. When playing outdoors, a child is also exposed to completely different textures, sounds and smells which they would not otherwise experience indoors. They are often allowed more freedom to explore and discover things for themselves, building their independence and their confidence.

The playground at school is the perfect environment for learning these skills and gives children an allotted amount of time each day to let off some steam and interact with others. This highlights the importance for stimulating outdoor playground equipment. The equipment children use both individually and as part of a group activity, can be extremely beneficial in their development. For example using musical playground equipment can teach a child co - ordination and rhythm simply through dancing along to the music and playing the instruments.

So now that the weather is beginning to allow for outdoor play, we should encourage children to put away the game consoles and experience more of the environment for themselves and make the most of it.

About Playforce: Playforce are a leading playground equipment supplier specialising in the design and installation of outdoor playground equipment for schools. Here at Playforce we aim to help you design your perfect play area to suit your particular needs and create a stimulating and exciting outdoor playground.

The Montessori Style of Nursery Education

Montessori nurseries are very popular among parents for pre - school education for their child. These can be feeble ring in in Surrey and Kent with all the modern facilities that a nursery should have to properly guide and educate your child.

Montessori nurseries are named after their founder, Dr Maria Montessori, an Italian woman. Lady developed this child education wrinkle through her extensive research work and study of children. Her arrangement of teaching is based on heterogeneous principles and these principles are still followed in nurseries all around the world and you can soft find one homologous nursery near you.

Children Are Nation

Dr Montessori ' s research focussed on the principle that all children are people and each one will be affected by the social environment in which they live and the world around them. According to her research, every child has a prolific conceivable which should be explored and encouraged, and every child should be treated as an individual with unique abilities and qualities. Fennies Nurseries follow this policy and treat children as individuals.

Nurturing Natural Potential

Every child has a natural potential which should be properly nurtured. This helps them to learn and develop in a social environment.

Children Need Freedom

Another principle of this style of teaching is that every child needs his or her own individual space and freedom to learn and develop. No child should be forced to complete activities in stipulated time periods. They should be allowed to take their time in the initial stages of learning. However, there should be some limitations to ensure that tasks do get completed in a reasonable timeframe. Children should also be given the choice to select their own activities as this helps them to become self - sufficient.

Mixed Age Groups

This form of education allows children of different ages to come together and learn in the same group. This system of learning in mixed age groups is really helpful. You will find nurseries in your area following this system and are also very successful in educating children as it helps children in deciding what is best for them on a social and intellectual basis.

The Importance of Equipment

Children learn faster when they are taught with care and kindness. Also nurseries should have access to good quality equipment which will support them in their learning process. It is not necessary to get the biggest and flashiest equipment but rather equipment which helps children develop unique skills and explore the world around them.

All the above principles developed by Dr Montessori are being followed in nurseries across the UK especially in cities like Croydon and Beckenham. These nurseries are highly supportive to children and the staff work together with the little ones to help them develop a better character and adjust perfectly into the social environment.

The Importance of Music Education in the Public Schools

As educators, it is our liability to nurture in our students the letters and abilities that they need in management to be balanced and productive members of society. Continuance mastery of the basic subjects undifferentiated as declaiming and writing, math and the sciences are of course important to receipt this goal, varied so - called extra - curricular subjects - - especially music - - are and coal-and-ice in this essay. For its many tangible benefits, music should be maintained and promoted as an prerequisite component of elementary and junior education.

For centuries music had been considered an irreplaceable part of a proper education. Early universities taught it as one of the quadrivium or four necessary pillars of education. Albert Einstein himself was a skilled trouper and frequently attributed his discoveries in physics to the musical training he obvious. [1] Present educational politics, however, have oftentimes marginalized music education to a stunning and serviceable " extra " program that is recurrently cut when opposite budget issues are met. Education administrators too usually mistakenly believe that music education is a false pull to channel students into a career in music or, at best, an inestimable " play time " that does little for their educational development.

If only those administrators could learn the incredible benefits of music education on students, they might change their minds. Recent studies have indicated that adolescent music education produces greater observable physical development in the brain, [2] and an average of 27 % higher math scores, [3] 57 points higher SAT scores[4] and a 46 % increase in IQ scores. [5] In addition to these documented benefits on intelligence, music education has been shown enhance learning in all other subject areas by improving their study skills, receptiveness to instruction, social and emotional development. Students that participate in school band or orchestra also experience the lowest rate of gang activity and substance abuse. Most importantly, the cognitive and behavioral advantages of music education are shown to affect all students, regardless of their ethnicity, " at - risk " status, or socio - economic background. [6]

These findings alone should guarantee the inclusion of a robust music program in every primary and secondary school, but the benefits don ' t end there. Adolescent music education has been shown to be a reliable predictor of success in college and professional life. It has been reported that approximately 22 % more applying music majors are admitted to medical schools than any other major, [7] and that " the very best engineers and technical designers in the Silicon Valley industry are, nearly without exception, practicing musicians. " [8]

My parents raised six boys and one girl, all of whom participated heavily in music during their primary and secondary school years. While I was the only one of us to become a professional musician and music educator, each of my siblings have gone on to successful careers including three doctors, an architect and an engineer. I feel greatly indebted to the many music educators that taught my family and me and am saddened to hear that the opportunities we received are not always available to children. I have made it my personal challenge as a music teacher and choir director to individually reach each of my students and instill in them the skills and appreciation of music that bring such joy to my own life. As a public school teacher, I find great fulfillment knowing that the skills I teach them in music classes and ensembles will not only enable a life - long interest, but will also help them in many other important areas of their lives and contribute to their success in life.

The great violin teacher Shinichi Suzuki said " The purpose of [music] education is to train children, not to be professional musicians but to be fine musicians and to show high ability in any other field they enter. " [9] My experience has taught me that music education uniquely enhances learning and prepares children for successful lives. Along with all the other subjects taught in elementary and secondary schools, I hope that I can bring the world of music into the lives of as many children as I can. In doing so, I know I will make our society just a little bit better by making a big difference in their lives.

The Liberian Education System During The Civil War

Liberia, Africa ' s oldest Republic was once a defended sanctuary for Africa brightest minds. Students from across the continent came to Liberia to study due to of Liberia reinforced education system at the time. One of the oldest colleges in Africa, Cuttington was Liberia first private college and was once a prestigious forming at the time. The University of Liberia ( LU ) was Liberia first college and is the largest public format in Liberia today. It is the one University in the country that offer MD and PhD in select fields. In the late 80s the " Liberian civil War " tapped out and the lucent when dingy on Liberia. Liberia was competing with institutions across the continent as all the former colonies were just now independent and the drive for educating the rabble were a priority for most of the Francophone and Anglophone former colonies when the bright went nebulous.

The civil war did two imperative things to the Liberian education system. The educated were either killed or flew the country. This was the duration Liberians cite to as " the brain withdraw " when educated Liberians renounced the country for survival reasons and and to find greener pastures in other nations. When the educated unattended, the education system collapsed. These people were the foundations within the education sector.

Proficient was a vacuum alone and it had to be filled since Liberians have this love for education that people were still going to school in the most deplorable conditions. Doing the peak of the civil war, Liberians still saw light at the end of the tunnel; it felt like there was a powerful gravitational force pulling them into jam pack classrooms with bullet holes in the walls. It was normal for schools to be open today and closed the next day because the rebels / government soldiers were in the town / village or city. This was a perfect place for recruiting more young men and women to fight their war.

This educational vacuum was filled by relatives, friends, classmates and those that sincerely wanted money at the time. Liberian schools were being taught by high school drop outs, colleges were being taught at the time by college students or drop outs. Most if not all class material were outdated, I will like to say that Liberia was at the time completely cut off from the rest of the world. Those that wanted fast ticket out of schools bought their way out. Teachers openly asked for bribes for grades, this lead to poor performing students that can not proved their grades in national and WAEC ( West African Examinations Council ) exams.

Liberia has bright students and teachers, but they ' re overshadowed by poor performing students, corrupt teachers and school administrators. Life is hard as a Liberian student, in addition to these many concerns I mentioned above, students walk miles to schools, no lunches are provided; benches for students to sit on are non - existent. The schools are pack like spam, teachers are not well trained. No text books are provided to teachers, all these should make a student stay away from classes, but the gravitational force is enormous and it is pulling students to classes regardless of school conditions.

Today, Liberia school system is still the same, with few teachers that are qualified to be called that name. Government is trying, but it is not enough after the civil war, enrollment of girls and boys has skyrocketed, students are still standing in classrooms. Mud houses are built to accommodate these students, " colleges " and " universities " are being open at homes most of them given accreditation without regard for the lack of facilities, qualify instructors. Most of these schools are in the business to make fast money out of students because of government inability to provide a better alternative. The recent WAEC exam was a disaster, there was mass failing within the country with government schools being the hardest hit.

While this is a poor way of looking at the Liberian school system, the Liberian students should be admired because of what they go through daily to obtain their diploma. Teachers are now going through thorough vetting process and training. Liberia will come back again, the communication system in Liberia has improved remarkably and it continues to do so. Students and teachers are not harassed going to school, Liberia has a beautiful future now, but she has long way to go. With the current energy she shows, Liberia will continue to emulate her neighbors. She will continue to educate the masses and impress the international community.

The Nativity Of A Free Home School Lesson

Blow away - the - cuff free home school lessons should be reserved for emergencies. All other free home school lessons should catch the meticulous organizing that all learners deserve.

The Preparation of a Free Home School Lesson E. G. Spices

Firstly, the short - spell zero of the free home school lesson should be chosen. This is oftentimes academic, logical, obvious and related to the required curriculum, for illustration familiarizing learners with spices for which compatible lengthened and speculative trips were made, prime overland, and ergo by sea after the sea caravan to the East was discovered in 1498.

Next, the long - term goals of the free home school lesson should be established. These should relate to the enrichment of the lives of the learners and to take them into adult life and should be both relevant and inspiring, for example, it could lead to greater understanding of the purpose of spices then and now, life at sea in the 16th Century and the enjoyment of relevant poetry and art works.

Planning the scope of the lesson is deciding on how much information to include and where to begin and end. There should be an introduction, the body of the lesson and the conclusion or punch - line. At all times, three matters must be borne in mind - holding the attention of the learners; the integrity of the free home school lesson content; and the learners ' input.

For example the body of the lesson could involve certain spices passed around amongst the learners to get their reaction to the smell and the feel of them and the ancient and modern purposes of each individual spice discussed. The introduction and conclusion should be designed with the particular learners in mind.

The application for the learners is usually in the form of an activity, like tasting a few dishes prepared with spices, in conjunction with a free home school worksheet. Then there should be a plan to follow up the free home school lesson or application or it should be related to another free home school lesson, for example, a free home school lesson on the spice trade sea voyages.

Once the skeleton of the free home school lesson has been drawn, the material required should be decided upon. This would be the spices themselves; their presentation; the cooked dishes; the means to keep them warm; and the cutlery, crockery and serviettes to be used.

With excellent preparation ( down to the finest possible details ), passion, a desire to motivate and inspire, the lesson should be highly successful and turn the most unwilling learners into having a thirst for doing their own research on the subject to find out more, and to putting into practice what they have learnt.

The Teacher Advancement Program At Cincinnati Schools Seeks To Keep Good Teachers

Cincinnati Flyer Schools

Cincinnati Schools are pleased to announce that three area schools have been selected to participate in a nationwide captain program to improve teacher quality. The three Cincinnati Public Schools chosen append John P. Parker School in Madisonville, South Avondale School in Avondale, and Whittier School in Price Hillock. All the schools were chosen based on their federal classifying within the No Child Desolate Behind Act. The program is intended to panoply the robust influence that quality instruction has on student achievement as well as developing know onions opportunities for teachers to hone their skills and get awards for their insolvable work.

Philosophy for the Teacher Advancement Program

The Teacher Advancement Program recognizes that manifold unripe and gifted teachers choose to go-ahead the learned early in their careers. The Teacher Advancement Program seeks to pin money that by offering capable teachers the career opportunities and recognition that will keep them in the Cincinnati Public School system. The overall aim is to make teaching a highly rewarding career choice that attracts talent to serve the children in Cincinnati Public Schools.

Superintendent Rosa Blackwell expresses her feelings about the Teacher Advancement Program in this way: I am extremely excited about this pilot program, which is closely aligned with other instructional initiatives in Cincinnati Public Schools. Research shows that quality teaching is the most important factor in raising student achievement, and this program is designed to enhance teaching by directing instructional resources where they are most needed in the heart of the classroom.

The Ohio Board of Education as well as the Cincinnati Federation of Teachers both endorse the Teacher Advancement Program. Cincinnati Federation of Teachers president, Sue Taylor, comments, This is a reform initiative that brings together in a structural way the work that our teachers already are doing. It ' s a value added model that will monitor a student ' s progress from the first day of class to the last and will measure the value that the teacher has added. TAP complements the instructional strategies being implemented in our schools, giving teachers a cohesive and aligned structure.

The National Institute for Excellence in Teaching praises Cincinnati Public Schools for adopting the Teacher Advancement Program. President Lewis C. Solomon explains, We are very pleased that Cincinnati Public Schools and the Cincinnati Federation of Teachers have taken this bold step to implement the Teacher Advancement Program in three schools. The implementation of TAP is aligned to district goals focusing on improved instruction and the increased achievement for all students.

Overview of the Teacher Advancement Program

The Teacher Advancement Program seeks to help Cincinnati Public School teachers in four ways. First, it seeks to provide opportunities for applied professional growth, allowing teachers to meet with each other and devise strategies to help all students learn the week ' s agenda. Secondly, the program will show teachers the multiple career paths open to them, offering mentors and master lead teachers to help teachers plan and reflect on instruction. Thirdly, the program monitors instructionally focused accountability, where teachers learn how to interpret student data in order to improve instruction. Finally, incentive pay is possible to reward teachers for high student achievement as well as seeking out professional and instructional growth.

The Power Of Metaphysics

What is metaphysics? In indubitable translation it means ' beyond physics or beyond the reasonable law ' - it is not considered a science as our scientists understand it, i. e. it is not provable by their methods - as are so lousy with things in our universe! Moderately minuscule - minded, but there you have it - they always have been. This begs the question how they deal with the big one - is there a Maker? We all know there is, we all caress there is something so much more desirable than ourselves - but can science expose it? No. Can they invalidate it? No. This accordingly puts into question a lot more of what is known in the Universe in which we breathing.

The power of the thinker - we can either use it to hatch or use it to blot out. Whether on a personal scale, or on a grand, universal scale, by the tall story of the most unfortunate weapons of war. If more was implicit of the power of metaphysics maybe we could put an confine to the destruction we seem so fond of creating? Food for regard for a further article.

How does this work? As human beings we are all linked to each other, our planet and our solar system. There is no discongruity. What is considerable is so below. I master watching a record once where a cd camera, using forceful anthem, up-to-date to film a man, lawful as a regular distance shot and so zoomed in to the skin and by increase its glorification appeared to delve through all the layers of the body - from the skin, fatty tissue, muscle, bone etc durable right down through the pink and tissue into the cells themselves - right to the undoubted love of the cell. It was parallel watching the birth of nebulas in the heavens. There were stars - it appeared one was watching a duskiness sky and onwards until seeing the birth and necrosis of stars, the bloodless way and the Universe itself in all its glory. Sensational. The camera then withdrew and the pattern was repeated but this time being directed upwards towards the heavens, through the sky into the atmosphere and just carried on increasing its magnification going right into the darkest regions of outer space. Lo and behold - there was the Milky Way, the stars and the Universe. It was an exact replica of what had been seen inside the human being! Just to prove the point that there is no difference in terms of our make up! As above - so below! Rather humbling wouldn ' t you agree?

With that sort of power and connection within us why would it not be possible that we can use our minds for far more than we believe we are capable of? We know for fact that we currently only use 10 % of our brains. What ' s the rest for? These are the untapped areas waiting for us to re - connect with ourselves and be opened once again when we remember who we truly are. Our ability to communicate without speech, just by thought transference. Simply put, how many times have you been thinking of a person and then, suddenly, the telephone rings and hey presto - there they are on the line! Your first comment - ' I was just thinking of you! ' Coincidence? Definitely not. I am a firm believer that there is no such thing as coincidence! The message from your mind has travelled in the aether to the person you were thinking of and they have the response that they need to speak to you - not knowing that you have already communicated the message.

All my life I have understood this and worked with it - even as a child. I did not know what it was, I just knew how to use it. I have always had an ability to create what I wanted - just by daydreaming. The power of that thought process and the repetition of that daydream or vision over and over, can bring the subject into reality. How does it work? Ever heard of the expression mind over matter? Today we think that this phrase means strength of mind and will. Not so - if everything around you in physical form is matter - like the table, the floor, the car etc then the power of the mind is such that it can draw together the molecules and atoms and create matter. The physical manifestation of that thought process.

Let me give you an actual example - when I started my health business many years ago - I needed a base. I wanted to work from home, but not inside my house. I wanted to rent with the option to buy if my business became successful. I wanted an old style Georgian house, in a village with a good school nearby for my son. Oh, and last but by no means least - I wanted a building at the bottom of my garden to use for my clinic! A tall order indeed! I even gave myself a timeframe - 1 month.

Then I went to work with my particular methods - every night and spare moment in the day - I visualised the house, myself walking down my garden path to work, my son catching the school bus, seeing the house and really feeling it. I moved in with my mind and my routine was set - every day I did this for that time frame. At the end of the fourth week I was checking the local paper for houses to rent in the area I wanted - and there it was! A Georgian house - 5 bedrooms ( I hadn ' t been specific about the number of bedrooms! ), at a rental I could afford and with the all - important building at the bottom of the garden - which actually had been the old post office / shop of the village. Yippee! I went to view the next day and it was perfect. Only problem was that they had a lot of nasty details on the form, like wanting a credit check undertaken etc. I was in no good financial state at that time and this worried me. However, I stayed positive and sent the form back - after a couple of days I called the agent to hear what the decision was, only to be told that they had lost the form and could I fill in another one. No problem - but when it arrived - it was a different version without all the ' nasty ' questions and no credit check! This was manifestation at the highest level! I moved in - created the clinic and my business was so successful that I bought the house within the 2 years. Yes, even that had been created for me.

This is the power of metaphysics and the power of manifestation and the power of attraction.

This works for your health also - I have always believed, and many times proved, that we get sick because of what we have in our mind that we cascade down to our bodies. However, by using metaphysics we can overcome these illnesses or dis - ease of the body. It is negative thoughts that have created it so it takes positive thoughts to repair it. Not just the odd one, but a major repetition of a single or multiple sentences that change the way our mind works. These are known as affirmations. They only work in the present moment - the past has gone and the future has yet to be written - so the only time that is real, is today - the now. If you want to change something, then that is what you have to tell your mind. I am healthy. My immune system is strong. I love myself. I take care of myself. They are only ever positive statements as you can see. Never in the negative or the past.

This has been one of the most powerful ways to change life - threatening illnesses, coupled with changes in diet, lifestyle and belief systems in general. The body is listening to the mind. If the patterning of the mind is altered - then the body will follow suit.

During the First World War it was clearly documented that a percentage of the soldiers in France, particularly in the trenches, just couldn ' t take any more of the mud, the slaughter, the dysentery, or the horror of it all - literally sat down and told their bodies that they wanted to die. One by one organs shut down and then organ systems followed and that person would die. It was a choice - a clear choice which they indicated to their body which followed through.

How powerful are we truly?

The positive message here clearly is - that we can create what we want. We just need to be careful about what we want and be careful of the messages we send from our minds to our bodies. The Universe is always listening and cannot differentiate between negative and positive. If you don ' t want it - don ' t think it, don ' t speak it!

The Quality Of Philippine Education In The New Millennium

Philippine education is strongly viewed as a support of national development and a primary access for social and economic action. It has undergone several stages of development from the pre - Spanish time to the started. It is handled by three government organizations, namely, the Department of Education, Culture, and Sports ( DECS ), the Commission on Higher Education ( CHED ), and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority ( TESDA ). The DECS govern both public and private education in all levels, with its assignment to stock up quality basic education that is equitably accessible to all by the foundation for lasting learning and service for the common good.

The Filipino people have submerged multinational for education for it occupies a central place in political, economical, social, and cultural life in the Philippines. The government allocates a high budget every year for Philippine education and guarantees that every Filipino has the right to quality education. However, there are some important issues that needs to be looked closely and resolved by the government. Among the issues are:

Quality of Education This is the first major issue that the Philippine government should resolve but somehow it is recently improving. The quality of Philippine education has declined few years ago due to poor results from standard entrance tests conducted among elementary and secondary students, as well as the tertiary levels. The results were way below the target mean score. High dropout rates, high number of repeaters, low passing grades, lack of particular language skills, failure to adequately respond and address the needs of people with special needs, overcrowded classrooms, and poor teacher performances, have greatly affected the quality of education in the Philippines.

Affordability There is a big disparity in educational achievements across social groups. Students from wealthy families have excellent educational background gained from exclusive private schools at the start of their education until they finish college. Unlike the students from the less fortunate families, wherein most of them could not even finish elementary nor secondary level because of poverty. They could barely afford to buy school shoes and pencils, not even the tiny amount of tuition fees from the public schools.
